Our Ambitions

Our purpose is to uncover the power of healthy food to increase the life quality of us, today and for generations to come. We have three ambitions that lead us in making a healthier and better life a reality. They are to support children, develop communities, and preserve the planet for the future.

Helping Children Live Healthier Lives
Our ambition for 2030 is to help 30 million children lead healthier lives.

How Serelia is Improving Children’s Health
Our ambition for 2030 is to help 30 million children lead healthier lives Several global health challenges are being faced by all

countries worldwide, including Indonesia. In 2019, 38 million children under the age of 5 were overweight or obese. At the same time, 47 million children under 5 suffered from wasting. Food is unevenly distributed across the globe, with some people eating too many nutrient-poor foods and some not getting enough food at all. Additionally, the nutritional value of foods consumed is not always well balanced, leading to deficiencies in vital vitamins and minerals.

Indonesia in particular is facing 5 main children health issues that are excessive nutrition (obesity and overweight), malnutrition (thin), stunting (short), malnutrition that can lead to acute malnutrition and potentially death, and micronutrients deficiency.

We are launching more nutritious foods and beverages, simplifying ingredient lists and utilizing natural-plant-based colors to help tackle these global public health issues and to meet evolving consumer preferences. Through using a rich in nutrients raw materials, we are helping address conditions like anemia and wasting, especially in vulnerable populations. We are also further not using sugars, sodium and saturated fat in our products while increasing vegetables and plant-based raw materials.

Developing Our Communities
Our ambition for 2030 is to improve 30 million livelihoods in communities directly connected to our business activities.

We partner with local agricultural farmers of Maranta Arundinacea plant, arrowroot starch, coconut sugar, palm sugar, and etawa goat milk to generate mutual and long-term economic value.

Millions of people still live in extreme poverty. Indonesia in particular is having about 28 million people who are living in poverty. About 16 million of them are villagers who predominantly work in agriculture. Poverty faced by agriculture farmers is main reason of decreasing in the number of farmers in Indonesia. The growth of agriculture farmer number has been decreasing about 3% annually for the last 3 years. Indonesia which is known as natural resources abundant country worldwide is predicted to experience a farmer crisis in the next 10 to 15 years.

To help address this, we are committed to building resilient communities. We focus on improving the livelihoods of the farmers and rural communities who provide our raw materials, as well as supporting young people to navigate and overcome barriers to employment. To help the farmers improve their productivity and outputs, we provide training on good agricultural practices and farming techniques and provide skills and opportunities to youth, and help rural communities diversify their income.

Preserve Planet for Future
Our ambition for 2030 is to strive for zero environmental impact in our operations.
